I’m a self-taught tattoo artist. I’m passionate about tattooing. Just to be able to create something with your hands, step back, and see realism, I love that. I was blessed with this talent.

Rising from the Concrete: The Eternal Legacy of Tupac Shakur and the Power of Overcoming Adversity

Untitled design

Tupac Shakur is a legendary figure in the rap genre. He went on to make an influence in people’s lives through his words, music, and his presence, which radiated talent that came straight from the slums—a place people are wary of going and think nothing good could come from. But Tupac is proof that, no matter your roots, one’s race, or color, anybody can achieve the greatest heights. So, Tupac has and still is an icon for me because I come from a place just like him. I felt his words because I lived the words he spoke.

I quote “Dear Mama” lyrics, “hugging on my mama from a jail cell.” This was me, so I could understand his words, live them, feel them, which were full of life. That should be forbidden to
people, but to no avail. It’s sad that many people like me are born, grow, and live in a place where Tupac, I, and others came from. But it’s not the end. Just because you come from the slums
doesn’t mean you’re not important or a failure. Just because you come from nothing doesn’t mean it’s the end, and you are nothing.

Tupac rose and became a legend, and to this day, his legend lives and remains eternal through rap music. Any rap artist loves and respects Tupac Shakur and his powerful words and music. Many
people who love rap can sing Tupac’s lyrics. This guy is evidence that there are no limits, and you too can become a legend. I encourage, no, challenge each one of you to seek, grow, and breathe
success. Don’t just stand there; do something. If you think you’re a failure, get up, rise, and hold your head up high. You are not a failure; you are the proof that all people are special and
talented in their own way, yet to discover your own talent. No matter how small or special your talent is, it’s still talent; it’s in you. Believe me, each and every one of you is special. Look
at Tupac; he went against the laws of nature in his time.

No one thought a guy like him would make it. He and people like me are looked down upon, judged, and misunderstood. Yet, he rose in a place no one thought Tupac could rise—the rose that grew from
concrete. His words are truth and proof that anybody can do it. So when you have nothing, you do have something. When you feel like a failure, rise and look up, for the sky is your limit, and the
sky has no limits. I wrote this for everyone and anybody as words of encouragement to live, grow, and find success, even when people told you that you were nothing, that you were worthless. But in
reality, you are special in every way and can reach the highest of heights. Reach and touch the sky; it’s not impossible. Nothing is. To every rose that rose from concrete, you can rise, you can grow, and you can be successful.

May Tupac Shakur’s legend live eternally to show people that nothing is impossible.
