Slang Terms and Phrases Dictionary #2

Pull up – Meaning “come over” or “on the way.” For example, “I am about to pull up” or “I’m pulling up, fam.”

Like a motherfucker – Basically an agreement or saying “yes.”

That’s lord – Like saying “yes” or giving praise. For example, this phrase is used a lot or heard more often when a beautiful female is seen. You will hear, “That’s lord!”

Bad – Used to describe a beautiful or sexy woman. For example, “That’s a bad bitch, fam.”

Cutty – Another word for pussy, or you can use it to address a person. For example, “Say cutty, what’s the deal, fam?” or “I got some cutty last night.”

Bitch – No offense to women, but it is used more commonly for women and also to address another like a friend. For example, you will hear two men say, “What’s good, bitch?” or “Damn, that bitch is fine.”

Gutta – Meaning ghetto or slums, basically.

Stomp down – Meaning a thoroughbred type person or more like an alpha male. We call these “stomp down,” but you can use it in a way to say something is good, like food or a woman. You will hear, “That hoe stomp down,” or say, “Fam, that cake is stomp down,” but it’s mainly used to describe a person that we consider stomp down.

Bird – Meaning a kilo of cocaine or another drug.

Gangsta – Meaning a gang member. You can use it in other forms to describe things or drugs, but it’s more commonly used for gang members.

Put in work – Meaning to do a mission for your gang. It can differ; it can mean a robbery, beating, or shooting, depending on what the person is saying.

Running an op – Another wording for putting in work, so it basically means running an operation, kind of like military terms. When you hear this in the streets, they are basically saying they are doing dirt.

Oooh wee mayne – This is a phrase used a lot in Houston, Texas, basically emphasizing a person, place, or thing. If a female looks beautiful, you will hear, “Ooh wee, mayne,” or if a person is saying the food was good. You get it, right? It’s a common phrase in the hood.

Doody – A word used to describe marijuana.

Doja – Also a word to describe marijuana.

Good good – Used to describe sex or pussy, but also drugs. You might tell your female, “Let me get some of that good good,” or “Fam, you got some good on deck?”

Gas – Used to describe high potent marijuana.

Loud – Another word used to describe high potent marijuana, or it can be used in other forms like a smell or street traffic. No, not traffic, but street business.

Streets – Basically, a gangster will address this as a lifestyle. For example, when a woman asks, “If you give up the streets, then I’ll marry you,” or “The streets is all I know.”

You ain’t about that life – This is a phrase to tell someone they are not willing to do something daunting or is a coward.

You ain’t about that action – Also another way to describe a person unwilling to do something daunting.

Caught out – Basically means to run away or flee in cowardice.

You got that – Basically saying you are a coward, but short for saying you got that pussy. Disrespectful phrase.

You got pussy in your heart – Another disrespectful phrase used to address a coward.

Mow you down – Another disrespectful phrase used to say you will beat a person up or eat food. You know, like what does a lawn mower do? This is where this phrase comes from.

Crush – This is used to describe a person you are saying you fought, won, and beat up. You will hear it a lot saying, “I will crush that hoe,” or “This hoe stood in front of me and got crushed.”

You ain’t built like that – Another disrespectful term basically saying you are a coward but describing a person who is not made to fight.

Scary – Meaning you are scared. People in the hood use this a lot.

Freestyle – A term used to describe a person that’s lying.

Flexing – Another term used to describe a person that’s lying.

Jit – A term used more in Florida, but it’s used to describe a young person, juvenile.

Beast mode – Basically saying you are doing something with a lot of energy, like sports or sex. Anything done with a lot of energy.
