Human
Why do people look down on or treat others like they’re not human? As if they’re animals or some type of trash to be discarded at the bottom of the garbage disposal? Do humans have to be perfect? Do their mistakes classify them as not being human? I hate that the world always wants to look or be so perfect when one is far from perfect. A man once said, “You’re only perfect in your imperfection.” There’s a famous quote that says, “To err is human,” but yet people look down on someone who has dirty clothes or imperfect bodies.
Yet a lot of people in prison are looked upon as trash, criminals, but they don’t tend to take a look at themselves, reflecting on themselves, just to show that they are far from perfect themselves. But we, the people considered trash, are still judged and discarded like trash, looked down upon when God only has the power to judge. We the people are scum of the earth.
A guy said, “You will never amount to anything.” Another said he was a predator, trash, no good for nothing. Another said he was a hoodlum and that he deserved to be in the garbage disposallike the rest of us. The comments just keep on as if we are not human. So, that person is from the hood, the ghetto. Does this define him as not being human? So a guy has so many tattoos he looks crazy. Does this define him as garbage? So a person makes mistakes in his life. Does this make him or define him as a bad person? Or to be condemned? He had a drug addiction at one point in his life, but yet does this still make him not human?
Why do people continue to look down on others and be quick to judge when they are not perfect, not even close to perfect? Haven’t all humans made mistakes in their lives? But the considered low are trash, yet if you don’t have an education or a nice career you are trash. Are they given a chance? Do they care? If you have a six-pack but one that doesn’t, is he still trash or not human? If your face is not handsome, will you still be judged? But yet a handsome person can be ugly too. No one is perfect. We are all far from perfect, and we are all human. And no matter your roots, attire, or character, you, all of us, can be better and achieve so much.
If someone tells you no, it doesn’t mean no. If someone tells you you’re trash, it does not mean you are. No matter what anyone says, you are still human, and you can still reach and touch the sky. But most of all, you are still human like the rest of us are. No one is perfect. If you are broken, you can still be put back together, and if you are sick, you can still be healed. Just because someone says something bad or looks down upon you does not mean it’s true. And you can’t let that break you or make you look down upon yourselves. You are not trash or animals or hoodlum garbage. You are human just like everyone else; you don’t have to have a pretty face, have a six-pack, or be the smartest person. We, and I mean all of us, can achieve great heights and do great things in life. No one is perfect. Only God himself is. And most of all, we are all human…
